Linda Harrington was honored by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses with its 2025 Marguerite Rodgers Kinney Award for a Distinguished Career. Harrington, adjunct faculty who teaches several doctoral classes in the nurse anesthesia program, received the award for her leadership and exceptional contributions, which enhance the care of critically ill patients and their families and the nurses who care for them.

“Dr. Harrington’s vast expertise on so many levels has been instrumental in the foundations of doctoral education in the School of Nurse Anesthesia,” said Robyn Ward, director and chair. “Her particular expertise in teaching our nurse anesthesia students the basis of descriptive and inferential statistical methods with application to understanding published research is second to none. These foundations set the tone for our learners to apply these concepts to their clinical practice as residents and future certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs).  We are honored to have Dr. Harrington’s presence in our program and commend her for this distinguished and well-deserved recognition!”

Her current research focuses on designing health apps to help change health behaviors. A prolific author, she has served as the Technology Today section editor for AACN Advanced Critical Care for over 10 years. Harrington is also co-chair of the current edition of the American Nurses Association’s Nursing Informatics: Scope and Standards of Practice.

U.S. News & World Report ranked TCU’s School of Nurse Anesthesia No. 7 in the country in its Best Graduate Schools periodic peer assessment.
