- BSN or appropriate bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited school or college in the U.S.
- Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse
- Prerequisite courses:
- Anatomy & Physiology I (or its equivalent)
- Anatomy & Physiology II (or its equivalent)
- Microbiology
- Chemistry, Biochemistry or Organic Chemistry (at least one course in chemistry is required for admission)
- Official GRE scores submitted in NursingCAS
- Minimum of one year experience in critical care, two years are recommended
- Certification in BLS and ACLS
- CCRN exam score sheet
- CCRN certificate or AACN letter of certification
- CV or resume
- Three professional recommendations, one from a current supervisor
- Shadowing Experience Form
- Work History Verification Form

Before enrolling, every student must be in good physical and mental health, free from
communicable diseases, and submit a medical questionnaire and health history form
to the university and the School of Nurse Anesthesia.
Second-year students planning to start their clinical residency in August need to ensure that their immunizations, certifications, RN license and health insurance are up to date and submitted to the School's office by May 1.
All clinical students must keep their immunizations, certifications, RN license and health insurance current with both the School's office and their clinical site. Failure to meet these requirements will lead to suspension from the program.
