As teacher-scholars, our social work faculty are engaged in research to better understand and address serious social problems.

Through their publications, presentations and evidence-based advocacy, TCU Social Work faculty and students strive to enhance the well-being and functioning of all people, especially the marginalized and oppressed.
As an interdisciplinary college, Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences allows TCU Social Work to engage with other faculty and students who are also committed to the promotion of global health and well-being.
Students can engage in ongoing research as research assistants and through class-based projects. The department of social work embraces the concept of the social work practitioner-researcher, so it equips students with the knowledge and skills need to use research effectively for the benefit of those they serve as professional social workers.
Harris College promotes faculty and student research through an annual research symposium,
a 3-Minute Thesis competition and a variety of other resources that help our research
stay cutting edge.
