Student Experience
In TCU’s Kinesiology department, students benefit from expert faculty guidance across a variety of classroom, field and research settings. Our programs provide immersive internship experiences and cutting-edge research opportunities, from hands-on learning in rehabilitation and clinical settings to analyzing movement patterns, cognition and performance in clinical, general and athletic populations.
Advising
The Harris College Academic Resource Center (HARC) provides academic advising for prospective and first- and second-year students in Harris College to help develop their academic goals in the health and helping professions.
The HARC’s goal is to enhance the overall student experience and prepare graduates for a lifelong career in health sciences providing:

Research
TCU Kinesiology offers many opportunities for students to get involved in research. Harris College is able to engage in innovative research because it maintains a very close connection between students and the community.

The purpose and function of ATSA is to:
- Support athletic training education in a manner that promotes the highest quality health care to the physically active.
- Promote active improvement in the athletic training education and service.
- Contribute to the welfare of athletic training students, staff and other health care providers associated with TCU athletic training program.
- Promote and encourage students’ participation in athletic health care at TCU.
- Promote and encourage collaborative relationships with students and professionals of other health care disciplines.
- Stimulate professionalism among student members.
